I first remember hearing “Thinking in Color” in a workshop I attended at SHOOTING THE WEST a few years back.
Stacy Pearsall mentioned to “think in color”, pointing out how certain colors compliment the color of the primary subject and to use them when framing your background. Mood and visual relationship of the photo can be portraited by varing the color relationships including shadow to highlights, blacks to white.
